Marketing Departments

Marketing departments know how to target a customer population, they follow economic and buying trends. They're very technologically and analytically oriented. Their purpose is to get products sold and their focus is on sales and targeting. The information they receive often comes in the form of raw data, and they work with large groups of data collectors. Like, Comment & Share

Keeping up with today's social business, is not easy and takes time. You are trying to build relationships and potential followers, fans and clients. Today I am going to talk about liking, commenting and sharing other people posts. This is different than following a group or liking a fan page -- which we will talk about in another blog.

Socially Focus!

So what is Social Focus? It is working your page like a business. You need to understand and employ all of the many different ways to distinguish yourself from others, make yourself more visible, have a purpose. Marketing, building and developing connections, becoming a trusted advisor and an expert in your field -- all of these will help make your page properly reflect your professionalism.

The Many Social Media Platforms

Just as with any other group or service, each website is focused on a particular group or population. The primary function of any social media website is to exchange information, ideas, and connect with people with similar interests and skills. Even so, each website has its own unique emphasis.

Why Social Media?

One of the most reliable and efficient ways of maintaining timely mass communication is through social media websites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. These sites allow you to reach a large number of people with a single message, and the information you post is available almost immediately. Contrast this with the expense you would encounter developing your (company's) own website, which may be very costly and time-consuming to maintain on your own.
